Have you ever had a season where you sense that God has something for your life that is so different from your current path that it seems like an impossibility? A time when your spirit stirs with the new but your living in the current circumstances and they don't line up with what you are sensing? It seems like I have many people in my life, myself included, that are in this season now. Its not that the current circumstances are bad and we are longing for them to get better. Rather that what we sense God stirring in our hearts is simply different. Its a calling to something more that stirs in our spirits.
I think sometimes God gives us this sense of what is to come to stretch our trust and willingness to stand on His word to us despite what circumstances appear to be. It is in these time we press in, stay the course and trust that He will work to spring life forward.
Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future"
This is one of my favorite verses because it reminds me that He knows His plans and that I don't have to worry or figure things out. I can trust that He will accomplish them. He will find a way even when there seems to be no way. It reminds me that despite what appears to be the situation and any barriers that appear to be in my way, there is nothing that can keep life from springing forward according to His purposes. What might appear to be an immovable obstacle to me is nothing for Him. In fact, we usually see obstacles as needing to be removed but sometimes they are just the thing He needs to do something amazing. I love the picture above because it shows how He can move through the circumstances with ease. We would look and say that the large stone needs to be moved to clear a path but God speaks life into a small seed and moves in the midst of the stone in a way we could never have expected.
