I think it’s fair to say that 2023 from one perspective has been the worst year of my life. Battling cancer is definitely not worth putting on your goal list. However in a much bigger way it has been the most amazing year too. I have been completely overwhelmed by the love, support, and prayers of an army of people! When I have hit hard stretches it was your prayers that have carried me forward. This year has been one where I, for the first time, really started to scratch the surface of God’s love for me. I know everyone who knows me probably questions that remark but let me assure it’s true. He has moved in miraculous ways when I was completely at bottom and had nothing to offer. He sent help in countless ways and using a myriad of His children. Just like in Exodus 17:11-14
“As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning.
When Moses' hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up--one on one side, one on the other--so that his hands remained steady till sunset.”

So Joshua overcame the Amalekite army with the sword.

Then the LORD said to Moses, "Write this on a scroll as something to be remembered and make sure that Joshua hears it, because I will completely blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven."
This past year has seen me overcome a great many hurdles because He sent people to hold up my arms when I was too weary. There will never be enough words to capture my thanks. I believe I will see the glory of the Lord in the land of the living just as Joshua saw victory over the Amalekite army.
May 2024 be filled with the revelation of how incredibly much you are loved by the One who never stops reaching out to you!
