God’s character is based in legacy. Everything He does has ongoing purpose. When He created everything in the garden it was meant to impact the whole earth. The Garden of Eden was not meant to be isolated. It was always designed to be a source of blessing for the earth. God’s intention was for the blessing of Eden to live on and impact the rest of time. It was the expression and legacy of His character.
Have you ever considered how God’s extends legacy to man? Everything that He does extends farther than the current moment. Because He is omniscient it means He has infinite awareness and knows the impact of His decisions.
“So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”
Isaiah 55:11 NKJV
As humans, we can often miss the broader vision of how our decisions and words can have continued impact beyond the moment or situations to which we think they apply. Consider this, take a moment and look back over your life and find a moment where someone spoke something over your life that still affects you today. The power of our words can far extend a particular moment. This is why it is so vital for us to lean into God and ask Him to instill His legacy nature within us. Through the power of the Holy Spirit we can speak words that can extend a legacy of kingdom life and blessings over people and circumstances.
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
Romans 12:2 NKJV
By the renewing of our mind we can impact the world around us and leave of legacy of His love that transforms lives and brings people into His heart and kingdom.
