The Lord showed me a vision of a person standing alone on a beach. The were holding a large shell up to their ear trying to listen for the sea noises that can be heard in a shell. They were blocking their left ear with their hand to block out other noise, and closing their eyes straining to hear the sounds from the shell with their right ear. They were completely unaware that they were standing right next to the sea even as wave after wave crashed at their feet, even washing over their ankles. Their focus was on hearing the faint far away sounds from the shell.
We are living in an unparalleled time and we need Him to show us how to stand firm in the waves of His Spirit. We, as His children, have a vital role to play in these days but we must throw out what we thought we knew and embrace what He wants us to know for such a time.
The Lord longs to bring us near, where we can be encompassed by His voice. We need to not look to old ways or means of how we used to hear Him. He longs to bring us to a new place, He wants His voice to wash over us. He wants the energy of His voice to strengthen us. He wants us to engage with Him much closer in this season. He has so much more for us and He wants to do so much more through us.
“For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.”
Romans 8:19-21
God has called us His own and He says,
“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;”
I Peter 2:9 NKJV
He doesn’t say that about us to give us an ego. Rather, He calls us that to draw us forward into the authority He gives us so we can steward His love and kingdom on the earth.
We are living in an unparalleled time and it can seem overwhelming but we were born for such a time as this. (Esther 4:14)
Turn and face the roaring ocean and know that the God who makes the roaring seas will give you everything you need to thrive and to establish His kingdom here, now in this time. Let us take our place! Let us reach out our hands to extend His love. Let us raise our voice and decree His kingdom. There are so many who need to know.
